Attending Orientation Week (O-Week) is a great opportunity to prepare yourself for your studies at Notre Dame University. During this week, you will have the chance to get to know your school and meet your classmates. You can also sign up for clubs, sports, or chaplaincy based on your interests.
Additionally, you can learn about how to make the most out of the library resources and get all your questions about starting uni answered.
At Notre Dame University's O-Week, you can expect:
Orientation Festival
Join us for the Orientation Festival and the official University welcome! The festival will start with a Welcome Ceremony that marks the beginning of the new academic year and welcomes new students to the University.
During the festival, you will be introduced to our associations, societies and clubs. You will be able to find your connection to the student community and learn about the different student networks and programs you can get involved in on campus, from sports to volunteering and leadership development.
Our friendly staff, students, and alumni will be available to assist you and answer any questions.
School meetups and introductions
Start your university experience with our interactive School meet-up. This meet and greet event is a great opportunity for you to learn more about your School. You'll have the chance to connect with your fellow students, meet our School staff, and discover the support we can provide you. Join us and get a preview of what's to come in the year ahead!
Campus tours
Take a journey through your campus and explore what makes it stand out. Discover the location of your School, lecture theatres and labs, and the hotspots for grabbing a bite, chilling out and studying.
Advice sessions
Meet your Notre Dame Support Squad and connect with your school peers. Access various student support services, including counselling, academic skills support, chaplaincy, and resources necessary for success during your transition to university life.
Information and Uni Hack sessions
Learn essential tips, strategies, and resources that will help you succeed academically and make the most of your time at university. Discover how to use Blackboard effectively, submit your assignments on time, and understand your course outlines.
Get an introduction to the library, both in person and online, and learn how to find books, eBooks, and journal articles quickly. You will also receive other useful tips to get you started on the right track.
Yes! Registration is a must to attend Orientation Week (O-Week). Once registered, you can easily plan your day by adding information sessions, workshops, tours, and other activities to your personalised schedule.
Registrations will remain open throughout the event, so you can register or update and change your schedule at any time. However, we recommend registering and planning your schedule in advance to ensure you don't miss any sessions.
Please note that Orientation Week is only available to University staff and students.

Use the My Schedule link in your confirmation to sign in automatically to the event.
You can also click Sign In from the menu on the event main page. Enter the email and password you provided in your registration form to access your schedule.
If you previously registered using your Notre Dame email and password, you must reset your password to regain access to the event. Use the password reset link on the Sign In page, follow the prompts to complete the password reset, and sign in using your new credentials.
If you can't attend Orientation, that is no problem. Jump onto out Students section of the website for all the resources you will need and keep an eye on your student email for a recap. Events will be held throughout the semester on campus where you can meet support services and more.
Our Fremantle Campus is conveniently located just a 10-minute walk from Fremantle Station. The campus is situated on High and Mouat Street, making it easy to access by train or bus.
If you plan on driving, there are a number of parking options available on the surrounding streets and in carparks, including the Collie Street Carpark.
City-owned carparks and street parking use the EasyPark app. Be sure to check the signposts for any restrictions or time limits on street parking.

Notre Dame's Sydney Campus has two sites, approximately 20 minutes apart by car or public transport.
The Darlinghurst site is next to St Vincent Hospital, along Oxford Street, opposite the courthouse and Green Park. It is conveniently accessible by public transport, with stops on Oxford Street located right outside the main entrance. Limited parking is available on surrounding streets, with additional parking at St Vincent Hospital.
The Broadway site is located in Chippendale, along Broadway, close to Victoria Gardens and the University of Technology Sydney. It is a 10-minute walk from Central and Redfern Station, and several buses stop outside the University. Limited free 1-hour and 2-hour parking is available on the surrounding streets, while paid parking can be found at the nearby Broadway Shopping Centre.
